Dandy Lyin' (he, they) is a gender fluid artist that has been lucky enough to do drag, direct and star in short videos, and make original songs. We took a minute to ask Dandy a few questions about himself and here's what he had to say!
Why did you start doing drag?
“I started doing drag because I get to express who I really am on the inside. I'm always playing characters in my head and dancing around my house. I just feel like I'm so full of ideas and it makes me sad when it stays in my head. I like to share it with others.”
Who is your favorite local drag performer and why?
“I love Johnny Justice!”
Do you have any pets?
I have 3 cats.
Who is your drag family?
“I'm part of the Stone's family. Stixen Stones is my drag mother.”
What are you looking forward to seeing at Hillsboro Pride in the Park?
“I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of people celebrating. It's such a special thing that we are gathering for a common cause.”
